The San Diego Botanic Garden bills itself as having “largest interactive children’s garden on the West Coast,” so naturally I’ve been itching to go. On Sunday, my family and I finally made it to Encinitas, and we were not disappointed.

This is not the botanical gardens I remember from 20 years ago. I am now wondering if it is the same place. Definitely going to check it out. Cambria and Ray will love it! Me too:)
It might be the same place. I believe the children’s garden just went in the last 2-3 years. You will love it!
So many fun ideas. Love the grow your own tea garden, babies napping, butterfly bed and breakfast…. Oh well, the list could go on!
I know, I know!
This looks so fun! We’ll have to check it out when we go to San Diego. We love botanic gardens, but I haven’t seen one with a children’s section before.
A must see, then! You can easily spend a day here, and if you look at their calendar, they often have special programs as well.
Great tip! Thank you!
T,
Really great pictures…..dad
Not bad for an iphone, huh? Can’t tell you the last time I used my camera. Remind me why I resisted a fancy phone for so long…
